Corpse abuse? There is no corpse. The oven took care of that.

This is the problem. The crematory should have a place to dispose of them. Most people don't want them.

Why not put ashes into a grave in a cemetery?

That’s what Catholics are supposed to do. Not that they do it. But they are obliged to do so. Burying the dead is a tenet of Catholicism we’re not supposed to keep their ashes in a pot in a closet.

I don’t know this for certain, but I believe most funeral homes and crematories offer to dispose of cremated remains if no family members or others request to have them.
