WASHINGTON - Tiger Woods is scheduled to meet Monday with President Donald Trump at the White House to be honored for his success at the Masters, according to reports.

Golf star Woods won his 15th major victory and fifth Masters on April 14 in what’s been called “one of the greatest career revivals in the history of sports,” The Wall Street Journal reported.

Trump tweeted April 15 that he’d spoken with Woods and planned to honor him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. That presentation is expected to take place later in the year, ESPN reported.

Tiger Woods is flawed but a man of great accomplishment. The media has forgiven the flaws and worships him.

President Trump is flawed but a man of great accomplishment. The media despises him.

This moves Tiger Woods up in my view.

I do think it’s funny that the media thinks that Tiger is now in the hunt for Jack’s record.

THAT’S A JOKE. PURE FANTASY

Sounds good. Tiger might be a conservative. Despite the speed bumps, the slings and arrows, and his own self screwing with his image and his game, Tiger seems quite a bit more settled than he ever was.

So, which will it be? McDonald’s, Wendy’s or Chick-Fil-A?

Yep - but for Tiger, we’re all flawed and had much less in the way of “temptations” because of our relative anonymity.
I’m glad President Trump will honor him for what amounts to a miraculous comeback from utter determination over the obstacles he put in his own way and those that the physical problems caused...takes him several hours before a round to “work the kinks out”.
Was glad to see his kids there for his Masters victory.

Tiger’s made one helluva comeback. Two years ago I laughed at the guys on the golf channel when they kept talking about him winning a major again when he couldn’t make the cut anywhere. But he hung in there. I have to give him credit.

“Tiger’s made one helluva comeback.”

Agree 100%, and it reminds me of something the late, great Vince Lombardi once said - “The greatest measure of a man is not never falling, but rising again after he has fallen.”.

Now if he could ever get Elin Nordegren back that would REALLY be a noteworthy accomplishment!

Trump is the ALL TIME best at trolling.

The sports media is largely LIBERAL. They love the Tiger is an African-American story line(even though he is more ASIAN-American). They would love to see this man of color supplant and pass old WHITE man Jack Nicklaus.

The reality is Tiger doesn’t see it that way. He is a great golfer who just wants to be the best ever. It is a colorblind exercise to him.

Tiger is also more Conservative than Liberal. He realizes there are mo championships handed to you because of race. They are earned or lost by the individual.

These sports writers would love to flame Tiger but can’t. His popularity transcends them. Just like Trump’s popularity transcends the MSM and Hollywood.

This is a master class on trolling and WINNING by Trump.

Sam Snead has the most PGA wins at 82. Tiger is second with 81. Tiger is , what, 41? He is healthy, so far, this season. There are three more majors left any of which he could win. Two more Wins at Augusta are not out of the question. Remember, the Cubs won the World Series so anything is possible 🤪

You haven’t looked in depth at his skill level over the last year. If the divisor on his world golf ranking were the actual 26 tournaments he’s played instead of 40 he would now be ranked #1. As it is, his #6 rating is a phenomenal comeback. If his back holds out and he’s able to remain pain-free without new injuries and stay focused on golf he will likely win at least 4 more majors.

Perhaps part of his success is due to the honor he gives to the current President of the United States. I appreciate his playing golf with Trump and meeting with him. His return as a more humble and likable champion after many very public disclosure of his flaws is an inspiration.

May his return to greatness be an analogy of our nation returning to greatness. We are a very powerful but very flawed nation. The wicked part of our society had gained the upper hand and still has influence.

“The media has forgiven the flaws and worships him.”

Sorry you have accepted this liar and womanizer back into the fold of heroes. This guy lied to his wife and kids, the public he syphons money off of, and to his God. He is an embarrassment to his sport and his country when he plays outside of it. And he has won one legitimate tournament in over 5 years, this years. Last years fed was an elimination by numbers tournament that took out his competition until more than a half dozen things happened so he could get a piece of the action, but not win the cup. His major sponsors, Nike, Gatoraide, Gillette, EA Sports and Accenture have dumped him. They don’t want to be associated with him as it displays a negative shadow on their products.

But the PGA, before this problem came up, had put all their eggs in one basket with him and were stuck trying to sweep his infidelities under the rug with media praise and promises of wait until next week for him to become a winner again. Tack that on to his delayed mistreatment of players like Fuzzy Zoeller laughing at jokes in a locker room atmosphere on one day and, after getting a call from Jessie Jackson, the next day made every effort to destroy him, is one of the note worthy accomplishments of Woods toward the game and the players.

Woods is pampered athlete still with the help of the PGA and the media, making $2.5 million just to get him to step on your course. You don’t pay it, you don’t get him. I guess the price of the lack of integrity, mistreating people, and lying to your God has gone up.

And before anyone starts in with the personal life stuff, this business has a history that made it the game it is of honesty and integrity in its makeup. It was used in Scotland to settle differences to prevent wars and other violence. But can you trust a proven liar to sign a scorecard that has the actual amount of strokes on it? Will a proven liar admit to moving a ball while addressing it? Is a proven liar the type of person you want your kids to emulate?

Sad he was protected and his wife didn’t do more damage with that seven iron. He deserved it with over 25 infidelities and being the corrupt sleaze he is.

“Sorry you have accepted this liar and womanizer back into the fold of heroes. “

First, read what I said. It moves him up, you have no way of knowing where he was in my view, or where that puts him. You assume he has hero status with me.

I believe in redemption. I am not pure enough to cast stones.

You hold whatever opinion you like, but it’s foolish to assume you know what others think.

“Not any more.”

I disagree. Have you seen all the “Congrats Tiger” adverts? Have you listened to the golf media?

He’ll never be what he was, but much has been forgiven.
