Probably finadable using satellite view or something like it.
It was pretty peculiar that civilizations have sprung up by great rivers, and yet the Amazon was devoid, considering it has half the world's fresh water. Clearly no one wanted to go to the trouble of looking for a loooong time. And of course, remote sensing has helped a lot.
Thanks Theoria.
Does anyone know about any recent developments at the Pedra Furada site? It, along with another hearth whose name I can’t recall, suggested human habitation in Brazil as much as 56,000 yeas ago.
The RC dating of hearths there is at least 29K old.

Wow.
Good points.
Half the world’s fresh water?
wow.
It just seems as if it would have made sense to go up there to have a look, a real gimme putt.
yeah LOL
i can’t believe NO ONE ever did.
is there still much land that no outsiders have been to there?
Silly question but there are none in africa, right?
double spaced and justified ...
To get the Clovis-first-and-only jokers and repliacement a-holes off everyone’s backs, we could try pushing the narrative that South America was settled by prehistoric navigation from South Africa. :^)
Or by the Jomon in Japan following the Black Current ...
Eventually the archeological record will be acknowledged for what it physically presents.
We are missing record of the previous advanced civilization that was using technology we simply do not understand. I think the nature of this technology is outside the window our science acknowledges.
Hunter gatherer peasants did not drop their sticks and build the pyramids in 20 years. Same with the Inca.
They can not explain why the lower levels express greater technology, and the above levels are of inferior quality.
They are missing something, and anyone who observes the fact of remaining artifact is well aware of this
Wow, thanks
Im just guessing finding a date back then was pretty challenging where they were and straying farther off didnt seem to make sense.
Probably the fish were reintroduced to the lake by aquarium owners of antiquity flushing them down their toilets.
Same with the lake crocodiles. Cute when babies, but when those devils start to outgrow the bathtub it’s time to say goodbye.
Thanks!
My pleasure.
Boy is that fascinating but i know too little to weight in, though what you’re saying is compelling
