James Holzhauer breaks single-day Jeopardy record again (breaks his own record).

Go James! I love watching him win.
I’ve got to admit I’ve been watching Jeopardy with great interest since Holzhauer’s been winning. I hope he keeps it going.
I think I am good. This dude is simply amazing.
He is one in ten million
I feel for the two sacrificial lambs who must face him each day. But he has made ‘’Jeopardy’’ much more interesting than it was. He is one of the few to start with the high-dollar questions, possibly the root of his success.
I usually do all right playing from the couch, but this guy is in a league of his own.
Him having control of the board from the start as the defending champion sinks the competition - he’s going to have to screw up and lose control of it from the start by missing the question to another contestant that is well above average that hold control of it for at least a few rounds in order for the pattern to be disrupted. Otherwise, he just gets a quick $5000 at minimum, finds the Daily Double and doubles his score, often having as much as the champions normally by the end of the first round. If he continues to win he will be over $1 million probably by Wednesday next week.
He’s pretty awesome to watch. Definite tournament of champions material.
In addition, I really like this for Alex Trebek...getting to experience this as some of the most interesting shows he has ever hosted 35 years in and after his diagnosis.
10-day record.
The original Jeopardy with Don Pardo had a limit of 5 straight days one could win. After that, they were ‘retired’ as undefeated. Then they were eligible to participate in ‘super’ Jeopardy specials with other undefeated champions.
James is a joy to watch. For five days this week we have seen him teach all Jeopardy players. He is a professional gambler in Las Vegas and he has a secret:
Read the question really fast and then when Alex is finished reading, click the button. The other two players are just slow compared to James.
Also, James deserves to win. He knows random, difficult answers and yesterday he bet $60,000 on double jeopardy. Amazing.
Who will stop James? Prayers for Mr. Trebec who is in the hospital today.
Can you give us link(s) so we can keep up on Alex and his treatment? Thanks.
The kid has it all going on. Like he was put on this planet to play this game. Greatest run Ive ere seen!
Ken Jennings being dethroned!
He is now making history every time he plays.
Best wishes to Alex Trebek.
The guy is phenomenal. Does he have a photographic memory? Is he an AI, tapped into a massive database? It’s fascinating to watch him run the board.
OT....on you tube, I used to be able to read comments under each video but now no comments appear......any suggestions....???
where are the 50(?) audience members each rtaping who saw next week’s episode and the following week?
Contestants cannot talk, but what about all those studio audience members?
The guy has a good mind, however his strategy is based on game theory, which is boring as a viewer because of fishing for the Daily Doubles/starting with the high value questions first. This is occurring more and more on this show in the last couple of years.
Holzhauer’s tactic is to study children’s trivia books because they contain pictures and “buzz words” that are easy to remember (Jeopardy “writers” are known to use these as well). Technical “answers” on the show trip him up.
So, part retention and part deconstruction of the elements as well as operations of the show.
I first saw him on THE CHASE on game show network. He and his 2 teammates won there too.
i don’t like the smug look on his face, but I do admire his knowledge....unless there’s some sort of scam going on.
