The Wall, WWII monument (really any of the monuments on the Mall), Smithsonian, National Cathedral — there is so much to do, much of it free.

I'm not a big fan of the Wall, which seems like a monument to commemorate a military defeat or a natural disaster. I also don't like the weird Korean War monument.

My favorite monument on the Mall is the one for World War I, which is not a national monument but memorializes those from DC who served in the war.
