Moved the center of gravity from the front to the center so it can spin around in a circle better; blows the cornering.

Will have an upgraded version of the current 6.2 liter V8. Only transmission will be dual clutch auto.
Might start as low as $62k.

I've been following the Corvette saga on The Drive. Apparently the launch date has been pushed back several times because of drivetrain issues.
Also, Chevrolet was disappointed that they didn't get a sub-7 minute time on the Nürburgring.

I am gratified to see that at least the base engine will still be the 6.2 liter pushrod V8, putting out 500 hp, or so the story says. It will sound like a proper American sports car. First stop would be Lingenfelter Performance for a 7 liter LS7 transplant. Should be good for at least 650 horse and still sound like a proper V8 motor!

So a bunch of millennials designed that? After deciding they owe nothing to the way a Corvette is supposed to look? Shoulda known; they flock to ugly clothes, too.

They’d sell a lot more if they took the ‘67 Stingray body style, updated everything with today’s tech/materials, and re-launched...IMHO.

It looks pretty good. Maybe in white and blue.
It does seem like they all are getting to look similar. It also better be comfortable.

The very fact we saw the camouflaged prototype shown so publicly at the New York Auto Show finally confirms what many have rumored: the C8-generation Corvette will be a mid-engined car.
By the way, there may be a reason for the mid-engined platform: its eventual adaptability to full-electric power by the middle 2020's. The second-generation Tesla Roadster will have serious competition now.

I’m sure the performance will be stellar - but it sure is ugly.....will be the end of beautiful Vettes........
But then, I’m biased for the clean, simple and eternal beauty of certain Porsche’s - specifically the Cayman S.........
