[It's just like people literally don't have the money to buy the car. It's got nothing to do with desire. They just don't have enough money in their bank account.]

Yeah, Elon, I feel your pain.

I've got a lot of desire for some classic American muscle cars. Seems like that lack of money in the bank account is a pervasive thing. Weird, huh?

Take AOC’s advice. Deficit spending.

This kinda reminds me of what I heard about the downfall of the AMC Pacer. It was a cool car and a lot of people liked it. the problem was that eventually pretty much all of those people had one.

I like it!

The Green New Deal should include free houses, free cars, free food, free money, free healthcare, free wi-fi, free pet food, free education and free toilet paper! Woohoo!

“It’s important to appreciate that the demand for Model 3 is insanely high. The inhibitor is affordability,”

I don’t think “demand” means what Musk thinks it means. It means people with money willing to part with it to obtain the demanded product at the price offered. It doesn’t mean people who wish that they could have one if it were cheap or free.

I've got a lot of desire for a whole slew of consumer goods that I just don't have enough money in my bank account for.

Desire doesn't pay the bills, Elon.

[AMC Pacer]

I actually rode in one in 1976 or so. Neighbors had rented it while their car was in the body show. It was that bland tan color with the fake woodgrain (IIRC). The color is right for sure.

Anyways, yes, it was pretty much like riding in a fishbowl on wheels.

My driving class in high school had AMC Matadors on loan from a local dealer.

When the last group got assigned, 5 of us had not joined any group. I got the three cutest girls in my class in my group. We had a lot of fun. One of the coaches, of course, was the driving instructor.

Not that I want to sound like the typical shallow guy or anything.....LOL

It’s got to be one of the funniest lines I’ve read today.

Well, other than Morning Ho wanted an America-hater to succeed.

Wait, that wasn’t funny - it was pathetically-sad that it’s on TV.

Yeah, I’ve got that consumer desire too.

Darn lack of money in the bank. Gets me every time.

I know some people interested in the Tesla or other electrics. But they want to wait for some years, to see the technology evolve, see prices come down, see what happens with the infrastructure of electrical charging stations, etc before they buy an electric car.

It’s going to be a challenge to kill all internal combustion by 2030.

This has been anticipated for quite a while. The big deal here is not the factory. The big deal is the Cobalt that Panasonic brings to the table. They have one of the biggest mining operations out there.

It could only be one thing. Panasonic is a Japanese Company, and Japan wants into this business big time.

Panasonic Cobalt is needed for other Japanese car companies to get into the market, and Japan is playing the Nationalist card.

Don’t worry. Airhead Of Congress sez it’s all over by then, anyways.

LOL! I went out on a date once with a guy who owned one of these, and yes, I felt like I was riding in a fishbowl.
