Theresa Mays Tories have always been far closer to Jeremy Corbyn than they like to admit. Thats why all their attacks on him fail so badly, and why there is a real possibility that he will become Prime Minister if the Government is idiotic enough to call an Election.
The Tories wild, Trotskyist policies on marriage, equality, diversity and education actually arent much different from Mr Corbyns.
See their recent imposition of compulsory politically correct indoctrination in schools. Their spending and tax levels arent much lower than his would be, either.
And, while they go on about Mr Corbyn and the IRA, it is a Tory Government that is ready to let former British soldiers go on trial for actions in Northern Ireland, while IRA killers benefit from an amnesty.

It seems like faux conservatism is not unique to DC.
The Uniparty English style.
This is pretty much the END GAME here, if we sit back and let the Left get what they want while bitching that so-and-so is a RINO, so I’m not voting out of ‘principle’, whatever the hell that means given who the Democrats are - then we end up like the UK and most of Europe - which is One Party HARD-LEFT ruling with token opposition parties, and any party that seriously challenges them being shut down with their leaders jailed.
Yes, there will still be a Republican Party, but they will a ‘softer’ Republican Party, a ‘Kinder, Gentler’ Republican Party, if you will. No more taking on the Democrats on ‘hot-button’ issues, like abortion, gay marriage, trannies in girls’ locker rooms, pedophilia, as those issues are too ‘divisive’ and we don’t want to ‘make waves’. Instead, they will give us the cheap labor and materials to keep buying 2600 square foot houses, rather than 2100 square feet, even if we only now have 1.3 kids, as the country gets TOTALLY REPOPULATED by the Third World.
So, sounds a bit like today - but it is NOT. Who is appointing judges? It’s not Hillary. Who is getting them confirmed? It’s not Schumer. Whether we like it or not, JUDGES will determine if we end up like the UK, or have an horrendous civil war, or peacefully end the Democrat-terror that is very close to taking over the country.
And we don’t get our judges by sitting out elections or voting Libertarian on ‘principle’, whatever the hell that means, given who the Democrats are. We get a DESTROYED COUNTRY instead - and our kids and grand kids will (mostly) be forced to live in it.
Not surprising. The Conservatives under John Major were likely not that different from Labour under Neil Kinnock or Tony Blair. And there were those many in the Conservative ranks that really hated Thatcher big time (probably more than someone like Kinnock or Blair).
They are all socialists fighting over the right to rule and the spoils that go with it. Peasants be damned.
May strikes me as fundamentally weak. She may be stubborn (in clinging to her job and the Brexit negotiations), but there is no core of steel in that one.
Absolutely. I have no idea why she was chosen for a leader but I bet the others are even more of limpwrists.
Peter Hitchens gets it!
Perhaps he’s been reading the comments on FR!
The “Conservative” party is not American-level conservative. The Australian “Liberal” party is more American-Style conservative.
