Saw it over the weekend. I’d rate it a couple of notches above mediocre, but not great. Woody H. ruins just about any movie for me because of what a liberal greaseball he is.
But I’d watch it again. I did think the machinegunning of B&C at the end was waaay overdone, meant to cast the police in a bad light, typical of today’s directors. I mean, c’mon, in the movie, they must’ve poured a thousand rounds into that car! Don’t really know how that squares with reality. Maybe it does. Just seemed a bit much to me.
I think that squares very completely with reality. If I remember the 1967 Bonnie and Clyde movie I think the gunshot scene went on for a couple of minutes. I really do believe they were shot with thousands and thousands of rounds.
