Back in the ‘80s I was warned as a Sunday School teacher never to place your hand on a child that wasn’t your own. It has reached the point where most men are 100% hands off when it comes to children that aren’t family for fear of accusations.
No evidence. No intent. All that matters is how the “victim” “felt” which can morph itself in any number of ways.
Sure, I think Biden takes it too far and, sure, there are pedophiles everywhere but I grew up where a hand on a shoulder or a brief shoulder hug wasn’t some sign of prurient intent. Is it any wonder our generation is raising a bunch of neurotics because women are the only people allowed to touch them for the first 15 years?
In the videos Biden goes way past a hug on the shoulder. In a couple of videos he appears to be touching the chests of young girls in a place where normal men are "100% hands off" unless they are doctors, or have some very specific justification apart from prurient intent.
You say there is "no evidence" but what else could you call a video of Joe Biden touching a young girl? You say there is "no intent" but you can watch Joe talk to the girls and get them to stand where he can touch their chests.
Joe's tendency to get too close to adult women may be subject to interpretation, and the women involved could have told him to bug off. But fondling little girls is a whole different situation. They are in no position to fight him off, although one child does manage to elbow his leg when he touches her inappropriately, and they should not have to.
Biden's behavior is unacceptable.
