Pope Francis praised Morocco as a model of religious moderation and migrant welcome as he kicked off a trip to the kingdom Saturday, warning that border walls and fear-mongering wont stop people from exercising their rights to seek a better life elsewhere.
King Mohamed VI welcomed Francis as he arrived during an unusual rainstorm and began a visit aimed at boosting Christian-Muslim ties and showing solidarity with Moroccos growing migrant community.
Morocco last year became the main destination for sub-Saharan African migrants seeking to reach Europe via Spain. The influx has strained the kingdoms resources and fueled anti-migrant sentiment in Spain ahead of the European Union nations April 28 general election.
Francis met with some of Moroccos newest arrivals and assured them: You are not the marginalized. You are at the center of the churchs heart. [ ]
The issue of migration will never be resolved by raising barriers, fomenting fear of others or denying assistance to those who legitimately aspire to a better life for themselves and their families, Francis said.

I guarantee that walls will stop them like infidels are stopped at the vatican wall you POS!!
How many foreign visitors have had their heads chopped off or been machine-gunned down in Morocco in the past few years?
Nice tin ear His Eminence has there.
The UN is supposed to be promoting development in poor countries so they won't have to come to Western nations only to bring down their standard of living and duplicate the conditions that caused them to leave to begin with.
What is UNICEF and other UN organizations are for anyway? It's just like with the foreign aid we are giving to countries. What are they doing with the money?
From a Catholic, go ### yourself francis.
My pope is still alive, even if exiled.
They have a right to seek it, but they dont have a right to demand admittance to whatever country they choose, on whatever terms THEY choose...
Is the pope an imbecile? Yes, a Marxist imbecile, but an inbecile nonetheless.
Dear Pope Marx;
Tear down your walls.
Otherwise STFU.
In other words, Morocco is a sh__thole country and islamists there should migrate.
The pope needs to put down the pipe
How do you account for the fact that the United Nations Charter follows the format of the Russian (USSR) Constitution of 1936 rather than the format of the (Covenant of the) League of Nations? Would you feel there was any significance in the fact that the general secretary for the organization which drew up the charter was Alger Hiss?So a United Nations so founded is obviously designed for the purpose of redistributing wealth from the USA and other rich Western countries into those of totalitarian poor countries, and also to rip away the sovereignty of the aforementioned rich and anti-communist countries into an eventual one-world dictatorship.
The Naked Communist, Chapter 8
Legal immigrants I welcome with a cheer. Criminal invaders and sloths I oppose.
Pope sez “Islam, Christianity, same thing.”
so let them move into the Vatican sounds like a plan Pope
Yes. He was a good leader. I liked him.
So you non Catholic Muslim loving jackass, when will you be taking down the walls around the Vatican? When you do and let 200 Muslims live there and give them $1000 a week, free housing, free food and free medical, then we will talk about our border, okay you Jackass...?
Hes crazy. And no, even while bears are still doing their thing, the Pope isnt Catholic.
Hes an elderly Marxist who has discovered Islam as his vehicle for his great dream, world domination. Unfortunately, since Satan protects his own, he has a lot of years ahead of him to destroy the Church, Western culture, capitalism, etc.
Yours works pretty well
I am no longer a practicing Roman Catholic, and hearing this man open his mouth only drives me further into the distance.
Holy man my butt. He is a Marxist.
I am Catholic and cant stand this Pope and his social justice agendas!!!
No one has the RIGHT to illegally break into a foreign country, Francis.
