Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones blamed the various claims he's made over the years, including that the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre was a hoax, on "psychosis," according to a deposition the "Infowars" host has given as part of a Texas lawsuit.
Jones described his conspiracy thinking as a kind of mental disorder during the deposition taken earlier this month for the lawsuit filed against him by the family of a 6-year-old who was among the 20 children and six adults killed in the Newtown, Connecticut, attack, the Austin American-Statesman reported .
Jones said during the deposition that he "almost had like a form of psychosis back in the past where I basically thought everything was staged, even though I'm now learning a lot of times things aren't staged."
Jones blamed his mental state on "the trauma of the media and the corporations lying so much, then everything begins — you don't trust anything anymore, kind of like a child whose parents lie to them over and over again, well, pretty soon they don't know what reality is."
The defamation lawsuit was filed in Travis County, Texas, where Jones' media company is based. In August, the judge presiding over the lawsuit denied Jones' request to dismiss the case .
Jones' attorneys have defended his speech in court as "rhetorical hyperbole," but denied it was defamation.
During the deposition, Jones continued to voice conspiratorial suspicions about the shooting.

Sure, but what seems "off" to me is how very efficient that one pasty kid was, despite only having a few minutes before he offed himself, and emergency services were in the building to help victims within 19 minutes... whereas the two kids at Columbine were far less efficient overall, despite having far more time, and emergency services not being allowed in the building for 3 hours. The discrepancies deserved inspection that was never allowed, mostly because of all the surrounding nonsense.
I’ve always wondered about the lack of blood and chaos inside the Sandy Hook school. Compare the photos after the French news paper shooting (or any shooting) with the few of Sandy Hook.
The French paper shooting there is blood EVERYWHERE with drag marks down the hall, etc. And tables overturned and paper strewn all over.
At Sandy Hook there are some small dark splotches on the carpet with an arrow pointing at them saying “blood stains”. One room showed an overturned chair next to two others at the table, and neat stacks of crap along the one wall.
The parking lot is odd as well. An overhead shot shows almost every car parked is facing one direction - like the lot was empty, and they started driving cars in and not worrying about following the driving lanes.
No easy answer about what happened to all of those children though. So it probably did happen. I guess. Just lots of stuff that is really odd about it.

Even if it was Hillary Clinton that Jones was attacking in the video, it doesn’t change the fact that he went after a much smaller woman. I had no real opinion about him prior to seeing that video. Men that attack women are some of lowest scum on the earth.

In order for the shooting to have been staged, the entire county would have to be nothing but actors. People knew people who had kids in that school. You couldn’t insert an entire cast into a school without anyone noticing. Everyone in that school knew each other.
I’ve been on campus during a shooting. You cannot fabricate it.
