When I was growing up the local news anchor had a pilsner of beer on his anchor desk that he drank during the broadcast. I think it was Schaeffer but could have been Ballentine. They sponsored the newscast.

When I was a kid, KCAU-TV in Sioux City had the weather sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon every night. I don't think the weather guy drank it, but he mentioned them going into the commercial of PBR.
