I opened Free Republic on my laptop just now, and almost immediately the link was shut down saying HP does not support this service. Anyone else have this problem? I was able to re-open it.

Then call it Chrome.
MS has given up trying to make Edge work well and uses Chrome (it’s free source) then layers ‘Edge’ over it.

hp is not a browser, the question was what program were you using to access freerepublic and what extensions were you using. there are some new extensions that claim to warn about fake news. Most are obviously anticonservative leftist crap out of big tech, and you will need to shut them off.
