I have heard two Maydays in the waters nearby, one was an engine fire and the guy asked if he should jump in the water. Scary to listen to. Another boat in the vicinity was able to get to him.
We followed the Viking cruise ship Mayday yesterday as closely as possible, that could have had a horrible ending, they were close to the lee shore.

Found out today that on of our lake neighbors was on the ship and got airlifted out by helicopter. I’m talking winched up into the chopper with just the clothes on his back
