Jordan Peterson is somehow culpable in the New Zealand shootings? The madness only gets worse. I saw Peterson give a lecture in Seattle (of all places) last year, and he is the opposite of a firebrand - mild-mannered and sometimes painfully tentative, and his method is “Socratic,” i.e., searching for answers rather than proclaiming absolute truths, trying to perfect and clarify his ideas even as he speaks.
My husband took two of our kids to his lecture Last year. They loved it. Our daughter immediately ordered a copy of “12 Rules For Life”. I read the first chapter this week, one of the most fascinating things I have read. I wish I had read something like it 25 years ago.
