Exodus 23:1-3 "You shall not bear a false report; do not join your hand with a wicked man to be a malicious witness. You shall not follow the masses in doing evil, nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after a multitude in order to pervert justice; nor shall you be partial to a poor man in his dispute."
Seems like a lot of folks want to pervert justice by going with the crowd, even though the crowd is wrong (pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-illegal immigrant, pro allowing muslims to live here who reject our religious values and customs, pro-climate change which makes God a liar, pro the poor guy was right no matter what he said or did (Michael Brown). If people do not start standing for truth, we are going to be facing some severe consequences. Injustice has covered the land in sorrow.
My dad, who has now passed on, used to always tell me “Do what’s right, in spite of what’s popular.”
Those words mean more now than ever before.
“My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.”
(Prov. 1:10)
“...nor shall you be partial to a poor man in his dispute.””
The opposite of this is the core of social justice. BE partial to a poor man in his dispute.
“Do not go with the crowd on evil”
I guess any thoughts of becoming a democrat are contraindicated.
Dennis Prager’s “Exodus” God, Slavery and Freedom” is an excellent work on this book, soon to be followed by “Genesis”.
I read it by Parshas over the most recent cycle.
Thanks for the reminder that wise men from long ago were also warning against “Fake News”
That's why I posted it.
