Sure...the asteroid could be made of Lithium which is more valuable than gold these days.

Seeing as it is only March 15th, sounds like we would have to have a rocket and some guys standing by all the time to be able to get up and in position in time. Oh, and they say this was “well in advance”!
I’m guessing if they ever discovered one coming straight at earth with only 15 days notice they would just keep quiet.
