You know the price of fast food getting kind of steep. She ordered a certain way and she paid good money and it didn’t come as she ordered. Not a good reason to fly off the handle, but I will say this ... yesterday we were at the beach and we went to Five Guys and ordered a hamburger, a small hamburge, a hot dog with a small fry, no drinks... $27.
I’m packing sandwiches the next time we go to the beach.
I just posted my homemade burger last night was 75 cents which is way cheaper than having to drive to get take out.
Aside from the price of take out and sit down food, the big worry is all the filth and germs. Too many eateries are just plain gross. I’ve seen food stored on the bare ground in a screened in area in the back of restaurants. I’ve seen cooks change baby diapers on the kitchen counter and never wash the counter or their hands. I’ve seen the burger flipper at Whataburger take the spatula and dig down the backside of his pants for a good scratching. I’ve seen waitresses with black filth caked under their nails. I’ve seen restaurant restrooms backed up with poo for months on end. I’ve walked into restaurants that stank worse than a garbage truck. No thanks, I’ll cook at home.
