There also is a spelling of Porsha used in a Bangladeshi town and an American female Basketball player from 1988.

Or perhaps her mom read Shakespeare and wanted the Prince of Morocco to court her Portia from the Merchant of Venice?

Or the wife of Brutus would have been spelt Porcia?

One could be xenophobic or colloquial in either of the above situations an still spelt the intended meaning.

Maybe the spelling was intended to mean “POOR CHILD” or Porsha for short....
