I have a C4. I don’t think I have ever had it over 110

Only 110? You need to get a REAL Muscle Car! Like my 1969 Fiat 124 Sports Coupe. One night while I was driving through rural Alabama, a Mustang & I "drove in loose formation" for about 10 miles. They'd get ahead on the straights and I'd catch up in the curves. We hit 111 at one point!

Of course, the 124 Sport Coupe came with a monster 1438 cc twin cam in-line 4-cyl. engine producing 94hp, so blinding speeds were no problem.

;-)

PS My other car was a "little Nash Rambler"... beep, beep!

Kerbeck (the largest Corvette dealer anywhere) in AC NJ used to do a “Toys for Tots” run from a rest stop about 20 miles from AC on the AC Expressway...Corvettes only. The cops shut the expressway and the on ramps. You could go any speed. In ours we were putting along at 155 mph. There were some going by us like we were standing still. Good times. Apparently some one (probably a Prius driver) complained several years ago so they stopped the event. No one ever got hurt.

Hate to spoil the party, but I live in the Netherlands close to the German border so the German highway is close by. If you drive there with 110 mph (177 km/h for us over here) you easily get overtaken by a lot of Germans. They speed like crazy since on a lot of their highways there is no speed limit. Sustained speeds like 160+ are not uncommon in the land of Porsche, BMW, Audi and Mercedes.

And even if there is a speed-limit, fines are low so no problem there.

Though it is not as like 20 years ago were it was like a F1 raceway on the Germany highway. Now people tend to speed less since insurance will no longer pay out for accidents resulting of crazy speeds.

Fastest I did was 125 mph (Jaguar XJ40 4.0 Sovereign) and I had my mother sitting on the backseat lol. In the Netherlands driving like that is almost impossible since the large amount of traffic (lots of trucks that overtake eachother on 2 way lanes) and huge fines. Max speed is 130 kmh (80 mph) over here on the highway and fines run up really quickly and speeding with 110 mph will result in losing your driving licence. Fine for speeding 18 mph over limit is about 300 dollar. Above that you will face the judge.
