There are some YouTube videos out there of Corvette drivers losing control just accelerating.
My old 67 was bad about the left motor mount tearing from the torque. In 1st hear, the engine would then torque over when the mount failed and pin the throttle linkage wide open. Great fun reaching the ignition key.
