[This is going overboard. Why so much power? Just to be king on your block?]
So its buyers can go out like Paul Walker. In a blaze of glory. Or something like that.

They’re trying to make the supercar compatible with a low-end version that starts at $70k the way the ZR1 is compatible with the version that starts at $56k.

Can you imagine driving a Vega with that much horsepower.
It seems like every new car GM builds has one flaw.

“Why 900HP?”
Because sometimes you HAVE to get to the next red light before that guy beside you.

I had a 98 C5 I ran up to 160 with pedal left. Gotta do it at least once. The hard part is finding a stretch of open freeway to do it safely. The car simply squatted a bit and handled it just fine. It was made for it.
This rear engine Vette will likely do at least 250 mph but where are you gonna do it other than a really long airport or military base runway?
I wish I could afford one. Talk about a dream super car! Of course the Ford Shelby GT500 would be on that short list too.

Bending, huh?
Better than breaking like the old ones, I guess.
To: Fungi
Damned be the consequences? Hell yeah.

I rode several. Actually considered buying the ‘82 sport touring version with matching fairing and panniers. It was a sweet ride. Considered syncing six carbs and adjusting twenty four shim type valves and maintaining a chain and bought a BMW Boxer. Still on them a quarter million + miles later!

A Track or Course, of course.
These are like private LeMans racers. A production race car with amenities. For the moderately well off.

The base model with about 500 hp should cost about 70k.
To: Mariner
Hennessy will have that to
1500 hp for those who can afford it

Its so powerful it bends the frame. Ive absolutely got to get one of those.
If you wait, they will be available with ‘uncontrollable acceleration’.
Almost as fast 0-60, as a Tesla.
