n a wide-ranging interview on the CBS show 60 Minutes, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said President Donald Trump did not have the authority to remove him from his position. The Fed has often been the target of criticism from the Trump administration. Toward the end of last year, Bloomberg reported that the president had discussed firing Powell. If the President appoints, he can unappoint, correct?

The President appoints judges. Can he unappoint them?

If Congress confirms, they can impeach, right?

Yes. For cause. What grounds are there for impeaching the Fed Chair?

Judges are Article III or Article I. We're not talking about Constitutional positions, we're talking about positions created by Congress.

That is a constitutional way to remove him, I am not suggesting that this be done without cause.

His appointment term is not impossible to abrogate.

His appointment term is not impossible to abrogate. I never said they weren't. No appointment of any kind can't be ended given cause. Disagreeing with the president is not cause.

My post was to dispel the illusion (not held by you) that the FC cannot be removed.

Since he is semi-independent of the executive branch removing him without cause would provoke a true constitutional crisis and it would probably be a question of just what the cause is as to how it would be resolved. Certainly nothing trivial.
