I have owned many cars. My first was a Volvo 240... Then the Triumph, so many Mercedes (the two240ds the 300td, the 420SEL...) The Jaguar XJ6 cars, 85 and 96. The Cadillac. Miata. The Lincoln, which I still adore, though I do not "really" prefer it to the De Ville... The '69 Mercury convertible... SO many cars. But when people ask me what car I really, really loved most, it was the BMW M3 convertible E36. NOTHING was like that car. It was astonishing.

Earlier M3s (1990s) are fetching $65,000 at auctions. (e30).

I had one, which followed four '02s and my first—a 1965 1800 four-door in 1968. Got sold on the e30 (a rental) at Nürburgring school in 1990.
