I've been there - the Brits have a serious obsession with steam power. Stationary engines, traction engines, scale model live steam locomotives... it seems to be one of the hobbies that has replaced gunsmithing over there.

The steam power facility that used to lift Tower Bridge is open for public tours as well - amazing.
