We’re supposedly coming into what’s called a Maunder Minimum with respect to the Sun, and it may last quite some time according to some solar scientists.
Some say 40 to 50 years and others say hundreds of years.
Even in the mini ice age there were periods of warm in areas of the earth.
This year was supposed to be the wake up. Next year will be the confirmation.

The impending solar minimum is called the Eddy Minimum. Named for the researcher who first plotted and identified it. I believe he's deceased.
