It wouldn’t surprise me if this were a genetic defect. Given all things we’re hearing about advances in gene therapy, we may, in future, be able fix this defect. The question is whether loony liberals will ban such fixes the way they’ve banned conversion therapy. Hare-lipped and blind and proud of it seems to be the way we’re going as a society.
