Cowboys have a habit of turning old players into coaches.............
Sean Lee as Defensive backs coach!...............
From Billy Joe DuPree to Witten, a long history of superb tight ends... keep the fire alive!
The spirit is willing but the body is weak?................
I don’t understand this move. I detest Dallas.
One would hope so. He’s had enough time to get a SuperBowl win.(Or even a championship game) He ruined Romo’s chance of ever getting a ring. Now, working on Dak’s, Easy E’s(Zeke) and every other Cowboy(And Jerry’s not getting any younger.)
Especially how he has unselfishly “coached up” the “Godbacker” and “the Wolf Hunter” at his own detriment. A real leader among men!
Jerry is doing Witten a favor.
He may not even make the final squad, but as someone alluded, he could get a position in the organization.
Sean Lee will be a great coach someday, of that I have no doubt.
Funny now after the success of Sean McVay, now everyone in the NFL wants to have a 30-Something Head Coach.
Sean’s got the mind for it(too bad he doesn’t have the legs!)
Hope he doesn’t get a hamstring standing on the sidelines(Sorry, it had to be said)(Snicker, snicker)
I’ve noticed that, too. Wonder if his “flaming out” at the Big Show dampered some interest in getting a Boy Wonder(Boy Blunder) for the teams after “Black Monday” massacre?
Sometimes they keep trying too long and dont realize its time to hang up the cleats.
Sometimes it is hard to walk away. It is a special club to be in and at that level...man! Now as for what he can contribute...I can see him playing a limited roll. Special downs in key situations. He is dedicated and I bet he still has the fire. I hope he isn’t writing checks his body can’t cash.
Yes. He has nothing to prove. I could see him as an assistant coach. Hope this works.
Roger Staubach lasted one season....he was much to conservative for Monday night football!!!!!
How long did Limbaugh last?
He was so bad in the booth that he was being mocked mercilessly by everyone. ESPN had stood behind him (because no exec wants to admit to making such a huge mistake) but I’m sure they whispered in his ears that he needed to improve of his broadcast career was over. He needed to find a way to gracefully exit but still leave the door open to returning to the booth and he found it. He will likely be bad, retire again, and work in TV on a less visible role to build up his skills. Let’s see if my prediction pans out!
