I saw it because Daisy Cousins, a conservative YouTuber, said it was criticized by LGBT groups for not being "gay enough."
I enjoyed it. It brought back memories of the music scene during the 1970-1980s. The actor was phenomenal; I am glad he won. The film downplayed Mercury's homosexuality; it honestly showed how he struggled with it (he was in love with a woman) & brought AIDS on himself.
Bohemian Rhapsody is about a great rock group, one of whom is gay and the others are family men married to women, who have real home lives with children — which is a point in the film.
