Especially the Barney Miller episode with Mr. Kopechne!

You’d think a show about meter maids and impound lots would be dull. But it was entertaining. I liked it.

For some reason, back in those days they didn’t want TV characters to get married. For all the years Bonanza was on the air, none of the Cartwrights ever got married unless it was just for one episode, and the wife always died before the episode was up.

I just. Started binging Outlander. Absolutely can’t stand the Claire character. As the series goes on she just gets worse and worse. I’d put her up against the wife on Breaking Bad anytime. Lol

From Wikipedia:

In other season-one episodes, Floyd refers to his wife, whose name is revealed to be Melba in the season-one episode “Quiet Sam”. Melba was never seen and was never referred to after the first season. In the season-three episode, “Floyd the Gay Deceiver”, Floyd is apparently single or a widower.

I love L&O Criminal Intent with Vincent D’Onofrio or Chris Noth. I know Vincent is nuts, but he is so damn good in that role. Noth is tolerable but Goldberg is unwatchable.

And, just damn, how could I forget Columbo?

Me Tv... tonight at 8. One of my favorites is the episode starring a young Robert Conrad.

Combat!

I’m rewatching Sgt. Saunders & crew on YouTube and I’m now into Season 5, filmed in color. The older episodes were all black & white. Great stuff, if you don’t mind Saunders’ bottomless magazines for his Tommy gun, or Germans who get a four-round burst from a bolt-action rifle.

My binge-watching was triggered by news of the death of Pierre Jardins, aka “Cage” from the show. I think Kirby is the only “regular” still remaining.

Read original book. Kinda interesting in that it supposedly reported what writer experience was. Movie and TV show was just pseudorelevant pap fed to idiotic cultural drones.

I recently researched entire “24” series. After that early series of “Red Dwarf” (had forgotten the brilliant writing on that series and so funny). Currently watching “MI-5” series. I love my spy stuff...lol

I honestly never understood the almost universal appeal of that show.

The fun part is Kenneth Tigar played almost all the nuts Barney and company dealt with, but they were all different characters. Bit if meta comedy there about nuts all being the same.

When I was a child, my father would take me to the county airport to watch the planes. Well, one day Cage was there - in uniform - handing out pictures and signing autographs! He was in town for some sort of promotion.

I still have that signed picture of him around somewhere.

Buffy at 11, Angel at 88. In the end, Angel was the better show. Also, how can I take a list seriously that doesn’t have Chuck?

The very first episode with Miss Ellie Opie says something like this...

Ain’t got no ma. Are you married? NO

My pa ain’t married either.

Andy should have married Miss Ellie or Peggy.

Crump was a bad choice. She always had a stick up her butt.

M*A*S*H is another one I can not bring myself to watch now. Why I watched it all those years ago after Wayne Rogers left is a mystery to me now.

M*A*S*H is where I was introduced to politics. My older brothers would mock and jeer Alda. I was curious why and asked. The rest is history.
