Yeah, the claims that this was about salary are flat out lies. Smollett has a long social media history in which he has denounced "45 (Trump) and his white-hooded cohorts". It's no coincidence that he chose to claim that white MAGA supporters attacked him.

This was motivated solely by politics, not money, and the liberals are desperate to disown Smollett as a political factor and desperate to spin this as being about money. Don't go along with it.

Yes, this reason is phony, and I think the Breitbart headline sort of implies that (who would be dissatisfied with that salary, especially a nobody like Smollett). I think Smollett living in Chicago as well as being politically connected made him a good choice for Harris and Co. to carry out this nonsense. In the end, having it happen in Chicago virtually assures that it will be swept under the rug and forgotten since Democrats control that region with an iron fist.

You’re right. This had nothing to do about money. He had a well known hate for Trump, and I think he had RAT leaders in the shadows supporting him in the hopes this would set off a race war! Folks, we’re dealing with people who want to get rid of those who disagree with them. They’re playing for keeps and too many on our side want to find common ground with them! Be so thankful that Smollett’s plans failed. This could have turned very ugly very fast, but what should concern all of us is the left is not going to stop attempting something like this again. Smollett failed and they’ll throw him under the bus, yet they’ll try again to invoke a race war as they tried to in Ferguson, Mo and Sanford, FL!
