I was a very regular listener, till a few years ago. Now I am only an occasional listener.
The reason for my moving away is the embedded ads in his show. I used to know exactly when his commercials ran and when they were over, but now he will come back from 5 minutes of ads and start talking like he’s telling a news story about a women who had her identity stolen, just to find out he’s advertising LifeLock for the next 3 minutes.
And the next caller is cut short because there’s not enough time remaining in the segment.
Breathe...use paragraphs...have a nice chamomile tea...chill...Rush is an entertainer and advertiser...

What is he supposed to do about it? Rush has his job and has done it well. He can’t do it all.
The question is what are the rest of us doing about it? Not much.
Waiting for Rush and Trump to fix it …..
And...We The People are to take care of this b.s. in DC, by contact commentary, protests, voting, whatever, all the way up to and including Declaration-style action.

Rushs show went to hell when he stopped doing the parodies and humor...to many ads..
I only listen if I am in the car and flick between him and music when the adds are on

If I read a good dose of Free Republic, I don’t need to listen to talk radio. By the time they broach a topic, it is old news to FR. My guess is that most of these shows ‘harvest’ their daily topics and talking points from FR, anyway.
True, the various hosts put their own spin on things and might come up with another view of the various situations but I prefer to think for myself.
That being said, I am glad Rush and Levin are out there.

But clearly, he has a loyal following AND he does give some positive insight frequently. He is valuable in a way.

I was a stern buffer between the crap and the truth - I simply told my sons to feed back the crap for a grade and move on.
The ruination of public education has swept us into the pit, from which we cannot climb out. A generation of ignorant sots are now easily manipulated. That is the problem... well that and the hordes of those who killed off their own host organism storming our borders.
Yes the country is all but lost. So, who wants to be a martyr? Not I. I vote. But am I going to serve up my old tired bones to save a country that does not want to be saved?

Problem with tuning out is that when they're right, they tend to be very, very right.
I can usually catch up on the important stuff when it hits FR.

The price of freedom is well known.
You totally missed Rush’s point: these deep staters aren’t going to jail. They’re running around promoting books on every talk show in America. They’re being treated as heroes. Rush is trying to highlite for the masses just what traitors these people are. Rush has openly and effectively communicated this message to FAR MORE people than anyone else.
Those are the stupid ghetto people lambasting the one rapper who after making it big moved out, out of the projects and armored liquor stores, to somewhere nice.
But WE aren't stupid like that, of course.

We are exactly the same.
We have to hang one of our own. Sometimes it's Ann Coulter, sometimes it's Elon Musk, even though he's not super political, and sometimes it's Rush Limbaugh.
It shores up one's sense of Conservative credentials, as well as fulfilling the atavistic urge to revert to the No Friends mode, often the early life experience those starting out Conservative from an early age.
