As the original Avengers actors are starting to get older (Robert John Downey Jr is 53, Mark Ruffalo is 51) , Marvel is trying to bring a fresh face to extend the franchise’s lifespan.

Unfortunately Brie Larson is pushing 30 and is about to start hitting the wall.

They're also trying to cut costs. Rumor has it that between salary and backend profit participation, Downey made $200 million for the last Avengers movie.
