I went to public school back when corporal punishment was allowed. What I got at school, I would get double, at home.

I do however, think the stepdad was unwise to hit the boy. The bullying should have been brought up to the school and the reprobate’s parents and eventually the cop ar school, if things did not resolve. Also, perhaps self defense training for the girl might have helped, at least to build some self confidence to stand up to the bigger.

Go whine to other adults, and train the girl how to fight boys? That’s gay. Neither of those would have stopped the bullying.
No matter what else, nobody else will dare bother that girl again. He fixed that problem.

The "authoritays" wouldn't have done d*ck about the bullies.

Gubmint schools are all about teaching the peasants what it's going to be like under the gubmint's thumb when you're an adult.

You'll be bullied, and you won't be able to do anything about it...
