In 1970-71 I worked as a pizza (.etc) chef in a mediocre Italian restaurant in the Hamptons. I would grind up stale Italian bread in a grater for bread crums to make the meatballs and bread the cutlets. Of course these loaves never made it to anyones tables and at the end of the night we put old bread in a box under the pizza oven to dry.
It's this guy's fault. He started the whole rodents-are-cute thing.
What’s that other sandwich place with a rat? Not Subway. I do not eat there because of the freaky nasty rat creature. Same with Kia. Won’t buy a Kia because of their rats.
Personally I detest going there.
That being said, my grandkids love the place. And I’m impressed on how they cater to kids and kid’s safety.
You can go there and let the kids out without a leash, and they have a great time.
So, if you can stand bad pizza and deafening kid noise for the sake of the kids, go for it.
I must admit, the pictures appear to show some disturbing practices.
About 40 years ago we would take the kids there once in a while. It was a special day out for them.
About 30 years ago we would no longer go near the place because of the clientele and the obvious look of neglect in and around the place.
What a sad commentary. A place geared to kids gets many police calls??? Seems like such a contradiction.
20 million served...152 pizzas
Its the adults/guardians. Not well socialized.
Isn’t one of the reasons that maybe only slice will be eaten at one of these parties is because kids tend to sneeze on the pie? Oh well, I guess you can figure it as a free extra topping.
When I was in college I worked as a busboy in a restaurant. If customers didn’t eat the dinner rolls we would put them back in the warming bin so another customer would get them eventually. Same thing with the mixed vegetables we served. If it looked like they were unused they would go back in the pot. It must have made an impression on me because we rarely go out to restaurants and if we do and something is going to be left behind I always make sure it is disfigured so it can’t be reused.
The KFC down the street used to call us asking if we wanted to trade. We quickly figured out that the chicken they gave us was what they were going to throw away, while we had to make a fresh pizza to give to them. That didn’t last very long.
I guess I’d frequent places with rat logos before AT&T, which now has an ad with a homosexual couple giving instructions to their babysitter. Homosexuals in ads are more offensive than rats in ads, IMHO. (Gotta find a new cable/satellite provider.)
A feral rat punk joint...
Agree. Can’t stand those type commercials. My list of banned companies is pages and pages long.
Chimp-Out Cheese???
Decades ago, a friend of my sister worked at a Chinese restaurant that would recycle food from people’s plates and put it back in the pot. The girl was scraping some uneaten chow mein and rice into the garbage, and the owner came rushing over and said, “No, no, we use again!”
WorldStarHipHop Cheese as well.
Untouched food is first offered to the lowest-paid of the help.
The pieces of his pizzas cannot be aligned to make a circle.
