He was the doctor in Michael Crichton’s “Looker” - a Sci-Fi movie that was a bit cheesy but quite good in my opinion.
Loved him in Skyfall; he, Craig and Judi Dench made it the only Bond movie in my view that threatens the position of Goldfinger as the Best of the 25.
I’m old enough to remember Tom Jones. Sizzling movie for its time.
I know many Poirot fans prefer David Suchet, but I always thought Finney was the best Hercule Poirot - he’s who I think of when I read Agatha Christie’s books. And Finney’s was one of many great performances in “Miller’s Crossing”.
‘Miller’s Crossing’ was a great movie but it seemed to me that not many people saw it, at least in my area.
Great actor. RIP.
Wolfen, a lost but good movie.

Yes, its really a hidden gem. Fantastic sets, period dress and dialect. John Polito (RIP) was also terrific. A masterpiece when the COEN brothers were at their best.
Mine, too.

The Bond series is chock full of memorable dialogue. Finney did his part to add to it.
Kincade : So who is it we’re supposed to be fighting?
James Bond : No “we” in it. Kincade. This is not your fight.
Kincade : Try and stop me, you jumped-up little shit.

No wonder Scrooge was so ornery...
Was very saddened to see this on Albery Finney. He was one of the finest actors of his generation and one of my favorites from my youth.
I am 63 and had the great pleasure of seeing many wonderful Albert Finney films like “Tom Jones”, “Annie”, “Gumshoe”,”Two for the Road”, and my personal favorite “Charlie Bubbles”.
He was one the giants of the British Cinema in a age along with Richard Harris, Richard Burton, Peter O’Toole, and Anthony Hopkins.
Thanks Albert for all the wonderful and many hours of entertainment. God Speed!!!!!
As far as I am concerned Robert De Niro could not lick Albert Finney’s shoes clean on his best day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably one of the finest gangster movies ever made and that scene when Finney stopped to put on his house slippers as he went out of the house with his Tommy Gun screaming was prriceless.
He was also good with Diane Keaton in “Shoot the Moon.”
RIP.
