I agree, I never saw what others saw in him that merited an Oscar.
There are so many other fine actors that could have played the roles he was given. To me, he’s just that unique.
Brando, Pacino, Caan, Duvall were heads and shoulders above any would-be competitors for their roles. But DeNiro? He’s forgettable.
