Police continue to investigate after the body of a young woman was found bound in a suitcase along an affluent road in Greenwich Tuesday morning.
Greenwich highway workers discovered the body along Glenville Road, just north of Stillman Lane, around 8:15 a.m., according to police. Officers responded found what appears to be the body of a woman between 18 and 30 years old around 10- to 15-feet off the road.
The victim was found bound at the hands and at the feet and the victim was found in a suitcase, Capt. Robert Berry, from the Greenwich Police Detective Division, said.
Police said they have some leads on who the victim is, but they are not able to confirm anything.
Its not known what caused the womans death or where she died, but police said the woman was not killed in the same location where she was found.
Greenwich police are working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the States Attorneys Office in Stamford.
So THAT’S where I left her!
Sounds like you’re familiar with it.
Yeah, but youre probably a Doctor Of Road Building or something.
The rest of us poor schlubs have to try and figure out what affluent roads are all about.
Maybe I can borrow money from them.
Teddy has an ironclad alibi this time around...
Never forget to claim your checked baggage..............
Yeah.
I come from the bad part of town.
What of it?
You grow up hard and mean when youre from the wrong side of town like me.
I slurp my soup.
Yeah, thats just what us bad eggs do.
So what?
Ill never be a soup tester, thats what.
Big deal.
Theres lots of jobs for bad boys like me.
I could be a leg breaker.
Kick the snot right out of table supports.
Having driven through there a number of times when the Merritt Parkway is backed up (i.e., most of the time) - that’s pretty fancy territory.
It looked very rural on the TV this morning....................
I know your type. You’re probably a perpetrator of the town’s latest massive crime spree.
So many luxury SUVs stolen after they’ve been left unlocked overnight, with the keys inside. You probably fence them in Bridgeport.
The sales manager where I bought my car used to be a car salesman in Greenwich.
When somebody applied to lease a car, they had to put down their monthly income. A monthly income of $300K or $400K was not uncommon in these applications.
You take that back!
I am not a perpewhatever!
I dont go around perping into ladys windows!
I will sneak a look if the shades are up, though.
Prayers to the victim’s family.
In Greenwich, the ladies like to leave the shades just a bit up.
Wow.
No wonder those affluent streets in Connecticut have money to throw around.
Four hundred thousand bucks a month you say.
I could finally pay off that record of the month club bill with that kind of scratch.
They do?
Well, theres another ten bucks I wasted on those x-ray glasses that are guaranteed to see through shades.
If you cant trust somebody who advertises in the back of comic books, then who can you trust?
Cant ever find a red cap when you need one.
Greenwich, Connecticut, is among the wealthiest areas in the United States, and it was included within the top 20 list of America’s wealthiest zip codes in 2018, according to Bloomberg News. Bloomberg listed the average adjusted gross income of Greenwich’s 06831 zip code as $626,200.
Large areas are zoned one, two or four acres.
No wonder it’s ‘green’.....................
An affluent murder? I guess nothing bad happens in Greenwich.
