Bishop Roger Joseph Foys of the Diocese of Covington apologized to Catholic families and the teens who were confronted by a Native American elder and then wrongly accused of racism, saying he was "bullied and pressured" into making a premature statement.

And its basis lies in a lack of morality in both cases. We accept that our politicians lack any morality, but we’re really on the road to ruin if we accept it in our churches.
He’s grown man and an ‘effing BISHOP.
If he is so weak that he can’t resist “pressure” and “bullying” then he needs to find some other way to serve Christ and the Church.
Like maybe in a monastery.

the fact that he can be bullied into a position means he should not hold any positions of authority. A priest has to be able to resist social pressure. Even the overt pressure put on the church from out side groups.
Bullied by whom?
A political calculation impacted the initial statement.
An economic calculation impacted the backtrack statement.
There are many Catholics who are saying things about the current “Pope” and his cronies that they themselves never thought they would ever say but feel obligated to speak out. The bottom line is that the homosexuals have a death grip on the Church and will not give it up voluntarily or easily. Put another way, the great cultural schism that now exists in the West has permeated the Church. People on all fronts are fighting back.
Who? Who “bullied” the Bishop? Did someone in the Church threaten to fire him? Did they order him to do it? If not, then all he is talking about is that he went along with a social media and MSM lynch mob. That isn’t “bullying”. That is just a weak-willed person going along with the mob out of some pathetic need to fit in and be viewed in a positive way by the crowd. Its sad and pathetic.
There was a “revolution” in the Hierarchy in the 1960’s. The traditionalists fought it, and are still fighting it. They are then accused of a lack of obedience and are punished. These are the times we live in. Similar to the time of the Arian heresy where most of the hierarchy were “political”.
Maybe the Bishop should be excommunicated from the church for not backing the kids who he is suppose to shepherd and watch out for.

Resign then. Someone who is that weak-minded has no business being in a position of authority.

I more concerned about the bishop of Lexington, Bishop Stowe who not only attacked the teens, but said tat wear a MAGA cap was not consistent with Christian values.
No apology from that guy.

A cowardly clown with absolutely no core principles other than not having anyone angry at him. How does garbage like this reach the level of bishop in the church?

As one raised Catholic, I truly believe that the Catholic Church is doomed unless a massive purge of the upper “leadership” (a true misuse of the term) occurs.
Start with Pope Che and seek out the gays....and hypocrites...and send them to democrat legislatures where they will be amongst brethren.
Bishop needs to go to confession.
