I’ve been saying that same thing for a while now.
Trump has been an army of one. We have this quaint idea that all we need to do is get off our asses every couple of years to go vote and then go back to sleep. And we leave the people that we elect to deal with the wolves and hyenas of the opposition all on their own.
Meanwhile the left is full of activists constantly holding their politicians feet to the fire and destroying anyone on the right, and they do that whether they win or lose an election.
We have to realize that winning an election is not enough, that that’s just the start.
We need to revive the spirit of the Tea Party.
Well said. . .there is no fighting back going on on DJT’s behalf. How many marches have we seen in the last few years? Black Lives Matters, Me Too, Trayvon, on and on. Protests here and there and everywhere, well organized and funded, and passionate. We think we can just rely on our “legislators” to get what we want done. We can’t. They aren’t strong enough to do it, and there aren’t enough of them to make an impact. If there is one thing we can learn from the left, it’s that they stick together, march together and make a lot of noise. We need to begin to do the same. We want a wall? Let’s hear it loud and clear where it’s going to matter. On the streets, peacefully.
