I heard Occasional’s statement that people are getting ringworm in Alabama due to lack of health care.
Contacting ringworm has zero to do with health care. It has to do with exposure etc. Treatment MIGHT have something to do with healthcare, but that would be slim connection.
I can recall kids getting ringworm when I was a kid. People got over-the-counter ointment and cured it - No Dr. visit needed.

Ringworm is treated like any other fungus like athletes foot and jock itch.
I bet AOC thinks it is a real worm!

Re:- AOC and ringworm - so ridiculous. It’s a contagious skin infection, fungal, IIRC. OTC antifungal meds will take care of it in most cases.

Depends! Been dealing with it for months. Dr. gave two prescriptions that have helped but can't get it all. Very stubborn and frustrating. Been reading up on it and apparently, doc can prescribe an oral medication in severe cases. I also found about an anti-fungal shampoo. Gonna try that. Sorry for the slide, but i thought others might benefit from the 411.
