Q Ping - NEW THREAD
Heads' up, FreeQs. Your strength in staying together seems to have garnered attention, those who wish to end our threads have found the group effort hard to break so they have adopted a new tactic, to add to the current ones in play.
There are a collection of reports from FreeQs that, when taken together, indicate some troll effort is now focused on isolating individuals in the wild. Discouragement, pointless engagement, intimations that individuals are "next on the list" to be banned etc. They haven't pulled the group apart, so they are focused on pulling individuals from the group.
So you may find when posting on the forum that you receive excessive demands for explanations, links etc. as that would occupy your time and keep you off the thread. You may receive fabricated gossip meant to breed ill will. You may be made to feel unwelcome or misunderstood on FR, you may receive hot tips and links via pm that are meant to discourage you or lead you on wild-goose chases. Use your imagination - they want to pick us apart in order to take the thread down by erosion. Please keep an eye out for new tactics and encourage each other if you see this tactic being played on peers in the wild.
Note that I'm also seeing signs of strain and those who normally shoulder along well together may have unexpected friction. It's unavoidable at this point - we're experiencing some carry-over of the tension that POTUS is putting on the DS. I've seen wise decisions to retreat from interaction that is troubled for now, and I'm convinced that when the pressure lets up, we'll all be sharing popcorn and popping corks again together, as before. WWG1WGA!
