The fact is that I have saved up some Q posts that struck ME as ridiculous, just as you have saved up mine.
I won’t post them now, if only to cut short the ‘I say/ You say’ bit we have going here.
I’m a guy who shows up at FR to learn, discuss, debate, joke, recharge. Not an authority or expert at any of it.
Let me ask you to clarify something for me. Why do the Q threads show up in Latest Posts?
I mean, I am so innocent of FR technical workings I don’t even understand that. But I thought it had been suggested that they be posted elsewhere-—maybe I am wrong.
Further, if they do show up in Latest Posts (the only topics area I ever visit) are they never to be questioned or lampooned by those outside the club?
If Q threads and claims are inviolate on the Latest Posts area, then I have been in the wrong, and I won’t cross that line again.

Administration may explain this better, but here is my own experience with that question of yours.
I believe it may because your FR settings are set on “Everything”, which is an option offered on FR. This happened to me in the old days of the Religion Wars. I was messed up on the RELIGION thread showing up as news on the Main Page. I didn’t go to the RELIGION room on the sidebar, because it was already on the Main Page.
I had my settings on “EVERYTHING”.
I was making comments in the Religion room, because I thought it was straight news, on the Front Page and didn’t realize RELIGION is another compartment altogether, on FR.
This Q Thread is confined to the “Chat” Room, but it will show up on the Main Page, as News, if your Settings include the “Everything” option. *Everything* always includes all the compartments of subject matter.
We FRQ’s should probably be a caucus, given that our Thread seems to be divisive, but for some reason I don’t know about that is not an option.
Does this make sense?
Anyway, you might look at your settings and then you won’t see Chat Rooms, where you have to even see the Q Thread.
“Latest Posts” is because the thread is so closely followed and posted to that ransomnote has to create a new thread almost every day. Thus, it shows up often as ‘latest posts’.
