Is it just me or has he had a MUCH more sobered look on his face, around his mouth and about his eyes than before the last week or so?

My conjecture, if that's the case, is that he's keenly aware of some very near looming hammers and he's not looking forward to the angst & turmoil to be generated thereby even though he IS looking forward to justice and setting many things much more to right.

I sure can’t disagree with your observation.

I read a remark on the main board that Reagan would have dismissed these reporters, clamoring around Trump, with humor on the subject of this bombshell blab that Trump was in cahoots with Putin.

While that humor come back is probably true of Reagan, the here and now that we are in is an entirely different era. And, Trump is one sober, serious and crafty defender of everything we stand for.

Something about that internal wisdom of his is never very funny. Chess is just not all that comedic.
