At issue here is that it was not her mistake, it was the casino’s. The Casino is saying TFB, get it back from the state.

No, the Casino should pay her and they get the money back from the state.

Reminds me of when I closed on a house the lawyer failed to keep property taxes from the seller, and then said it was up to me to get the money back from the seller.

If you had read the article, you would have learned the casino can’t get it back from the state. Only Obie can get it back from the state. No one bothers to read the articles.

While I agree that this is what they should do, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they would be breaking the law by doing so. That's at least how the story read to me.
