Balled fists and charging at him. . .makes self defense a real thing. And the mob, if he didn’t react forcefully, the mob very likely would have swarmed him. . . I’ve seen that happen and the guy (in his 30’s I guess) was mobbed by a pack of “young ladies” and they knocked him down from relentless attacks from all sides.
