Does using a larger infinity in solving an integral make it more accurate?

I’m sticking with the “One Size Fits All, Infinity”.

There aren’t more real numbers than integers because both lists are endless. Infinity is not a number, it means ‘endless’.

As soon as one blurs the distinction between continuous and discrete quantities having a coherent discussion about what infinity means becomes meaningless.

Infinity with regard to discrete quantities means that there is never a greatest, you can always add one.

Infinity with regard to continuous quantity means you can divide it in any manner you please.

In computer science the distinction between continuous and discrete quantity has been for the most part preserved.

In modern “pure” mathematics the distinction has been obscured. This causes modern mathematics to become a grotesque exercise. Anyone who has endured a graduate level course in “real analysis” can attest to the stupid proofs that claim that the real number system can be constructed, it is absurd.

You can trace this back to Nicholas Bourbaki, aka the mathematicians that Hitler chased out of Germany. Hitler was a monster, but he was right about the corruption of mathematics.

A lot of good answers here. I think “infinity” is an invention of the mind. If there was a true infinity, an infinity with anything physical that has volume, we wouldn’t exist, because we would limit infinity by our presence. In other words, we are taking up space where what we are measuring should exist in, which means that infinity is lacking. Infinity is less and, therefore, not infinite. It’s the same with God. To say that God exists infinitely everywhere, then there is no space or room for us.

Interesting. I really with that when I was younger someone had pointed out to me some of the weird things that can happen with math. Things like Collatz systems and the like. It might have made me more interested in it.

"But even though there are infinitely many integers and infinitely many real numbers, there are clearly more real numbers than there are integers."

Fail. This statement attaches "magic" to the decimal point. The decimal point is arbitrary. Without it there is only an infinite series of integers. If we had brains capable of understanding the true smallest possible undivided unit, and perform maths at levels infinitely larger than this, we would not require decimal places at all. Only because of the limited observational and computational power of mankind are decimals used.

The answer could be anything.
More research money is needed.

Throw in floating point, and nothing is truly accurate.

Stephen Hawking said, "God created the integers. Floating point belongs to Satan".

You ever notice that the "last" Russian doll doesn't open? What does she know, and what is she hiding?

The Rectification Factor will resolve these issues. Adam Rutherford was dialed in. From his Pyramidology, volume 2 chapter 2:

***

The secret to the solution of the Great Pyramid's exterior symbolism lies in the discovery of the rectification of the Pyramid's displacement feature. When we have ascertained how this rectification is effected, we will have discovered how that which is out of harmony with the perfect will of the Almighty will be brought into line and how this chaotic world will be brought into tune with the Infinite.

So we must explore the Pyramid in search of a factor of 286 inches associated, not with contraction, deficiency, eccentricity and imperfection, as is the Displacement Factor, but with the opposite, that is, with expansion, enlargement and uplift. When we find this, then we shall know by what power the evil in this World can be completely removed and how the Lord's Prayer shall be answered and God's will done on earth as it is in Heaven.

***

286. On earth as it is in heaven.

humans and their world and solar system and galaxy are “inside the box”

Its not possible to determine fully and accurately all that is on the “outside”

Mathematicians already know that there are infinities of different sizes

As does anyone with feral cats.
