Megyn Kelly Reaches Exit Deal With NBC, Will Get Full $69 Million Payout

It’s official: Megyn Kelly has parted ways with NBC, three months after being yanked off the air.

Kelly and the Peacock network have officially reached an exit agreement, according to CNN, that will see the anchor walk away with every penny of her original three-year, $69 million contract, even though she’s leaving more than a year early. (Kelly joined the network in 2017 after a successful stint at Fox News.) “The parties have resolved their differences, and Megyn Kelly is no longer an employee of NBC,” the network said in a statement on Friday night.

Kelly’s daytime talk show Megyn Kelly Today was cancelled in October after a series of on-air controversies, with the host coming under fire for not understanding why dressing in blackface for Halloween is wrong. The ratings weren’t great, either: Megyn Kelly Today was regularly topped by time slot rival Live! With Kelly and Ryan. Kelly’s nighttime news magazine Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly was a misfire as well, with NBC quietly pulling it off the schedule after just eight airings.

According to the terms of the exit agreement, Kelly will be subject to a nondisparagement clause, per CNN, forbidding her from telling all about her time at NBC. She will, however, be free to pursue another on-air gig: The exit reportedly contains no non-compete clause, so Kelly can start working for another network at any time.

Do you need to be employable when you have over 70 million in the bank? Seems like when in that position you are the one doing the employing

Think she will join “The Weakly StunnedDolt” crew at “The BullFart” so they can have Never Trump circle jerks?

I wonder what happened to the creepy porn lawyer who seems to lose all his cases. Maybe he’s living in a tent by the freeway in Portland.

How can a thread go this far and not point out the irony of the amount. I mean $69 million?

Didn't she do a #metoo moment at NBC? Maybe that explains the boatload of money for a fiasco.

The original contract was for $11,500 an hour, not including "other benefits" [probably platinum health care and other plums].

The two year stint gets her $17,250 an hour. About $70,000 for working a morning.

She should take some time off. Spend it with her family. And more importantly, she should write a book. Even if she doesn’t need the money. It would be fun. And rewarding for her.

What will she do with all that moolah?

She now can afford to stay home with her children. /s

Seriously, they value her more than anyone else does. She should do the right thing.

Good, I’m all about taking money out of that place. I wonder what she had on them? When I found out how much NBC hates her and the employees were all insanely jealous of her salary, I wanted her to stay there forever.

$69 million for getting fired. Where can I go to screw up like this?

The Harridan leaves Fox News, takes NBC for 69 million after her program crashes and burns.

NBC “bought the farm.” This is Air Force lingo for when a aircraft crashes and burns. The Air Force pays for the damages to the farm. What is not to like so long as the pilot ejected safely? Unfortunately it appears Megan did eject safely with a 69 million dollar parachute but it was NBC money so this is okay.

With 69 million I do not think she needs to do Pole dancing, however my prurient interests would be entertained if she did such.

The wheel of Karma is a slow relentless wheel that crushes the unworthy. Karma is sweet! The wheel of Karma rolled over Megan Kelly and NBC. I am pleased.

I wonder what her next job will be? Today she is toxic to any network be they Fox or another network.

69) Maybe she engaged in 69 to be hired and $69 million is her contract amount

Just saying.

In the case of Prince Fielder, they did get two years of production out of the contract...before neck and weight issues popped up.

Didn’t the Rangers just ‘terminate’ him and got out of the three additional years of the contract?

At some point, he hyped up that he was a vegetarian, but later admitted that this only lasted 90 days.

"...incorrect concert marquee..."

That sign was specifically supposed to read: Spinal Tap and Puppet Show according to band management.

Let not talk positions and employable. The Murdock’s saw some thing maybe a nice rack. They like The blonds. Maybe chrome on your bumper hitch irrates you. She is less than desirable unless you need the money. IMO

Good point. I miss Brett Favre. Never missed a game.
