I’m thinking about the numbers involved. It’s always been a given that the DEMs have the numbers to impeach in the house and do not have anywhere close to the 2/3 needed for the Senate to remove from office. How can you flip those to remove members themselves from either body? The key may be in the qualifier that expulsion, as outlined in FAS.org, 2/3 of the body PRESENT. If there are dozens of members implicated and/or indicted, and those are DEMs since the corresponding set of perps on the REP side resigned last year ... in the House, with 435 members and say there were 80 in flight ... that would still require 238 members present and voting. That’s still outside the REP totals but not out of the realm of possibility depending on what’s presented. In any event it would leave Chuck & Nancy with quite a predicament on their hands.
